Hospitals

My current practice locations are in Cape May Court House and Marmora, NJ where I have office hours most days of the week . Patients may call the office to schedule appointments. I have unrestricted medical privileges at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House, NJ, where I perform surgery, treat in-patients and take emergency call.

My previous appointment was at The Institute of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in Barnegat, NJ.
I had unrestricted medical privileges at the Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ, where I performed surgery, treated in-patients and took emergency call.  SOMC has been ranked among the top 100 hospitals in the US to work in. Meridian Health has been ranked in the top 10 in New Jersey.

Positions held

I held the position of Medical Director of the Joint Replacement Program at Southern Ocean Medical Center.

I was also appointed a Medical Director of the Meridian Hospital System Comprehensive Joint Replacement Program.

I held the positions of Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Temple University School of Medicine and Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Temple University Hospital and associated hospitals in Philadelphia, PA, from September 1, 1996 through June 30, 2014. During this time I actively practiced and acquired extensive clinical and operative experience of all types of major joint replacements and joint reconstructions, including primary, complex primary and revision replacement arthroplasty of the hip, knee, and shoulder; the complete range of sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and ligament reconstructions of the knee, shoulder and foot and ankle; and operative and non-operative management of trauma of the extremities, pelvis and acetabulum at Temple University Hospital, which is a busy Level 1 Trauma Center.

Surgery

I currently perform most primary hip replacements through an inter-muscular, direct anterior approach.
I received didactic and cadaver-lab training in the use of the MAKO Robotic Arm for Unicompartmental Knee and Total Hip Replacement. I have used the MAKO Robotic Arm assistance for total hip replacement through the supine, inter-muscular, direct anterior approach in a few patients.
